Live Updates: Testimony begins in trial of Derek Chauvin, former officer charged in George Floyds death – CBS News

Testimony started Monday following opening statements within the trial of Derek Chauvin, the previous Minneapolis police officer charged within the demise of George Floyd. Chauvin, who was seen in a disturbing video kneeling on the neck of the unarmed Black man for greater than 9 minutes, is charged with second-degree homicide, third-degree homicide and second-degree manslaughter.
